History Maker

Tonight I have made history. After much training, ok, so not very much training, but only due to time constraints, I have just run in the Human Race sponsored by Nike +. It was a 10k held all over the world and millions of people ran in it! It was my first 10K and the longest I have run so far in my training but I'm pretty pleased with my results! I hope they do another one! Here's the picture i took!
Yes, it's there, look at the bottom! There's my name and current rank! Now keep in mind, there are close to a million people who have run this! However, they are still accepting times until Tuesday, so I will post again with my official placement! Pretty cool huh?

Putting the Hospital in Hospitality

This past week or so has been nonstop. It consisted of:

Student Leadership Training

Manning the Hospitality Tent and Welcoming new students

playing dodgeball, crazy kickball, egg chicken dinosaur, and cheeseball face

and Orientation (pics to come soon I think)

Also today I lost my keys and looked everywhere for them. I found them here. This is why it's important to put things where they go!

Ps. hopefully in time I will learn how to blog and these posts will be better. Student Life program was talking about realizing your need, and I believe I have just recognized one: Be a better blog writer. However one need I don't have is making alliterations: Betty beat Ben because Betty's blog was better.

Here's some fun reading:

The Ozma of Oz

Enjoy!

In The Beginning - Introductions to the Corporate World

These last 2 months have been a little different than I am used to. I am back in the Corporate World. I have had to wake up early, but instead of just getting dressed, I have had to get dressed really nicely. Slacks and collar shirt everyday (except for Friday, which everyone knows is the dedicated "Casual Day" of the week). But I have come to find the simple pleasures and joys of the corporate office.
1.) Being the first person to turn on the light in the bathroom.
2.) Getting out of work when people get Singing-Grams
3.) Finally getting paid to check facebook
4.) Having two monitors: 1 for movies, 2 for work
etc...
In just the same respect there are several things i hate about the corporate workplace. This list is too long for this post, so i will simply say that this summer so far has been a blast. What a blessing it is that I have this great job, and that I am able to be around some people that I love dearly. Ahhh the little joys of life.
